Werte.Foundation establishes private foundation for hotel business, gastronomy and meetings & events
Berlin, Germany – April 08, 2019 – Ten years after the start of the ValuesEvents, the Werte.Foundation reaches its next dimension: the establishment of a private foundation will take place this year. Initiator Bernd Fritzges brings in all the values, achievements and contents he has created – the foundation capital is additionally increased with selected partners. The purpose of the private foundation Werte.Foundation is to promote and advise young talent in companies in the hotel, catering and meeting & events sectors. Further fields of activity are events organised by ValuesEvents and the dissemination of the established Codex of Values.
“With the establishment of the private foundation, a long-cherished dream has come true,” says Bernd Fritzges happily. After a decade of strongly growing value events and an increasing number of supporters, an assertive organisation is now emerging. Further mistakes of the foundation are:
- Promoting and advising young talent with an extensive training programme
- Consulting for top talents and high professionals in matters of leadership, internal communication, value-oriented action in day-to-day business and personnel management
- ValuesEvents with academy character
- ValuesPioneers consulting companies in matters of corporate governance and value-oriented communication
Among the active members of the Werte.Foundation are Prof. Dr. Thomas Apitzsch (FHAM Munich), Henrik Bollmann (Westfalenhallen Dortmund), Heike Klein (Estrel Berlin), Christian Böttcher (Hotel Esplanade Resort & Spa Bad Saarow), Angela Knoll and Melanie Kotek (both: German Railway / DB Vertrieb).
“Central values are gaining massively in importance in the hard business everyday life – and that is overdue,“ Fritzges states. Be it tough price negotiations, as is customary in the meetings and events business, or rude leadership falsehoods in the closely timed everyday life of hotels, restaurants and event locations – the return to respectful interaction, attentiveness and proactive appreciation are essential foundations for harmony and success. “Particularly in the hotel and catering industry, which is plagued by staff shortages, we support company owners and managers in value-oriented leadership and thus provide valuable impulses for successful employer branding,” says Fritzges. The guideline offers recommendations for action in daily dealings with employees, customers/guests and partner companies. “Even for me it is always amazing how often I can find parallels – and above all solutions – for my everyday life in the international meetings business in the Codex of Values,” admits Fritzges frankly.
Next big value event early 2020
The next big value event will take place at the beginning of 2020 – with a surprising “Big Bang”. Further details will be published in the coming weeks. Most recently, hundreds of WerteSupporter had been able to experience an event congress with a highly inspiring long-term effect at the ValuesEvent in late summer 2017 at the Hotel Esplanade Resort & Spa in Bad Saarow near Berlin – the hotel is also a WertePioneer.

About Werte.Foundation: “Values 2.0” was launched by Bernd Fritzges and his colleagues such as Estrel Berlin and many other supporters more than ten years ago at the renowned conference agency Intergerma. The annual WerteEvents developed into a fixed calendar entry for value-oriented players from the hotel industry, gastronomy and MICE business. With the start of the new decade, the Werte.Foundation, which has since been established, will be transformed into a private foundation with the aim of recognising its non-profit status.
