24 Jul 2012
Hapag-Lloyd has decided to deploy an 11th vessel in the service.
The Med Pacific Service (MPS) has been upgraded to a fixed-day weekly service earlier this year. In order to further improve schedule reliability Hapag-Lloyd has now decided to deploy an 11th vessel in the service. Transit times will increase slightly in both directions.
The introduction of the revised schedule pattern coincides with the earlier announced shift of port calls in the Puget Sound. The first vessel to call at Tacoma?s Washington United Terminals will be the Sofia Schulte 02W26 / 02E32, scheduled for August 5.
At the same time westbound calls at the Moroccan port of Tangier will be skipped.
The new rotation reads as follows:
Valencia ? Cagliari ? Livorno ? Genoa ? Fos ? Barcelona ? Valencia ? Cartagena ? Manzanillo, Mexico ? Los Angeles ? Oakland ? Tacoma ? Vancouver ? Portland ? Oakland ? Los Angeles ? Manzanillo, Mexico ? Manzanillo, Panama ? Cartagena ? Caucedo ? Tangier ? Valencia
